Product: Animal species analysis

In February 2013, the European Commission decided to allow non-ruminant processed animal protein (porcine and poultry) to be incorporated into farmed fish feed. This decision was made following a feed ban of nearly 15 years after the BSE crisis. The new legislation enables the feed producing industry to consider the re-introduction of processed animal proteins (PAP) in their high-quality products. However, as a processor of animal protein or (aqua)feed producer, you need to be sure that your products do not contain ruminant protein. This means you need clear and trusted analytical reports to unequivocally demonstrate the quality of your products for both business purposes and legal compliance.
